Walking tour through the Brera district
During our Guided Walking Tour of Milan you will discover the history, art and impressive architecture of the city and see some hidden corners of it.
The walking tour will take you to historical sites and to popular neighborhoods of Milan such as Brera, which is one of the most historic (now trendy) districts of the city. Brera was once famous for being a poor place where artists, poets and poor people used to spend their time and now it is a wealthy, chic but still fascinating district.
You’ll stroll around small medieval winding roads paved with cobblestone and enter the courtyard of a Milanese and Italian cultural shrine, the Pinacoteca di Brera, a legacy of the Austrian domination and now probably the most important museum of the city. Your guide will also show you where the canals (the so called Navigli) flowed and explain Milan’s historical and cultural past.
On this cultural tour of Milan, you’ll of course learn about historical, architectural sites. For example, we take you to one of the last locks remaining in the city, and see the ancient gates which gave access to the city, all with the tallest skyscraper of Italy in the background, another symbol of Milan’s soul. Milan is the most modern city in Italy and the best part about it is that it’s always changing!
During our Guided Food Tour of Milan you will learn this and much more!!!
